How we handle your information
Mutheki Sacco handles member data under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
Through this website's forms we collect your name, phone number, optionally your email, your area, occupation and your message. At the office, membership records include the documents the law requires — national ID details, photos and financial records of savings and loans.
Why we collect it
Website form details are used only to respond to your enquiry — about joining, loans, complaints or feedback. Member records are used to run the Sacco: recording savings, processing loans and meeting our legal obligations as a registered cooperative.
Who can see it
Form submissions are visible to authorised Sacco officials only. Member financial records are restricted to the officials who need them to serve you. We do not sell or share personal data with marketers.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept as long as needed to serve you and meet record-keeping requirements for cooperatives. Member records are kept for the periods required by law and the Sacco's bylaws.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected. To exercise these rights, call 0720 270 177 or visit the office.
Data protection registration
The Sacco's registration status with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner will be shown here once confirmed.
A safety reminder
Mutheki Sacco will never ask for your PIN or password. Always confirm payment details on this website or at the office.
